DECORANZA® Lotsa Love

Our feature rose for this month is a new release for 2022 that’s name just says it all. FLORANZA ® Bright & Breezy

This month we feature an award winning rose from the New Zealand Rose Society International Rose Trials in Palmerston North last year. FLORANZA ® Bright & Breezy gained a Certificate of Merit which indicates a consistent performance over the two years of the trial. Irish rose breeder takes top award at rose trial

Rose breeders from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland dominated the awards presented at the trials with five of the six awards going to rose breeders in this part of the world. Pixy® Lauren

This one we feature something different, a modern Polyantha rose that can be described as a violet blue version of ‘The Fairy’ Bred by Kim Rupert of the United States, ‘Pixy® Lauren’ features masses of small mauve – violet blooms in large clusters all summer long. November – Sweet Romanza

November is when roses are at their peak flowering in New Zealand and it is always good to see what newer roses look like when they begin blooming. September – Water Lily

After a number of years of few new introductions of patio type roses in the New Zealand market, it is pleasing to see some new varieties coming online. April – Smart & Sassy

This month, we feature a new Bambina® rose from Canadian Rose Breeder Brad Jalbert that will attract attention in any garden. ‘Smart & Sassy’ has classic shaped blooms of velvet red with a golden reverse, which changes intensity with the weather.
