Our meetings are held at 7.00pm on the third Thursday of the month at the Kiosk in the Botanic Gardens (apart from June and July).
Central venue with lots of parking, easy access, plenty of room, and good lighting at night. New members are warmly welcome and a gratis rose plant to each new member. Please come along to a meeting to see what we’re all about, there is no obligation to join.
Membership is $30 annually (March-February or part thereof). Membership of the Canterbury Rose Society automatically gives you membership of the New Zealand Rose Society. Members receive two publications – the “Rose Annual” and the “Rose Review”. These can be collected from one of our meetings/garden visits. If you would like to have the publications posted to you, there will be a postage cost of $10.
Canterbury Rose Society members have the benefit of local vendor discounts, a regular (monthly during the growing season) electronic newsletter, and free entry to our catch ups and table shows as well as garden visits and pruning demonstrations. We have a wide variety of plant specialists who come to speak at our meetings. If you would like to join our society, our bank account details are as follows:

Meetings: We meet on the 4th Wednesday of every month except December and January.
Venue – Feilding Bible Chapel Hall, Warwick Street, Feilding.
Doors open at 6.45 pm for those who wish to stage their entries for the table show. Staging should be complete by 7.20 when judging commences. Meeting starts at 7.30pm. We have a wide range of interesting guest speakers throughout the year.
For the months of June,July and August doors open at 1.45,staging finishes at 2.20 and meeting starts at 2.30.
There is a sales table, raffles and supper.

The Otago Rose Society meets at St Peter’s Anglican Church Hall, Hillside Road on the first Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm (except January and July or as advised).
Rose lovers meet to share their knowledge, learn the merits of new varieties, listen to a guest speaker and share a few special blooms. There is a sales table, raffles and supper.
The $40 membership fee also provides you with a monthly newsletter produced for local conditions, and also a Rose Annual, Rose Review and the Rose Experts Guide

During these five months we have table shows.
We meet in the Wilson Street Baptist Hall, Timaru. The formal part of the evening is kept as short as possible, this is followed by a speaker or theme, cultural information, a sales table, raffle, monthly competitions and supper.
We are a group of people of varying ages who meet monthly, all having an interest in Roses that enjoy each others company and sharing information. We would like to encourage members of the public of our region to come along and join us and be part of this group who enjoy Roses.
