The 2019 National Spring Rose Show and Convention was held at the Hamilton Gardens Pavillion in Hamilton on 16th & 17th November 2019. Organised by the Waikato Rose Society, the theme of the show was ‘The Grande National’ and there were a number of classes set to this theme. The Pavillion was awash with roses while outside, the Rogers Rose Garden looked spectacular for the Pacific Rose Bowl Festival.
Rosarians from Kaitaia to Southland brought their best bloom to compete across a wide range of classes. From Australia, visiting rosarians Richard and Ruth Walsh (NSW), Jim and Pat Cunningham (NSW) and Gavin Woods (SA) all enjoyed their time at the show and participated in the judging of the roses.
