While the weather is cooling down, this month’s featured rose is one that warms up any garden when in flower.
Warm Welcome is one of the patio climbers, which typically feature smaller blooms that are produced freely on climbing plants that are not overly vigourous. Perfect for smaller gardens and spaces.
Masses of bright orange blooms are the best feature of Warm Welcome and they keep on coming throughout the season. The blooms drop cleanly and without too much mess ready for the next lot to shine.
As for the plant, it is a strong grower that won’t take over so ideal for all situations. The dense, dark foliage compliments the blooms well and is generally tolerant to most diseases. An ideal rose to cover a fence, pergola or as a pillar.
Bred by Chris Warner in the UK who is well known for breeding many great patio climbers. A winner of the novelty award and Certificate of Merit at the NZRS trial grounds in Palmerston North, Warm Welcome is something a little different for your garden.
