For the first month of 2012, we feature one of most popular and well named miniature roses introduced.
Bred by the father of the modern miniature rose, the late Ralph Moore of California, Rise N Shine has been a consistent performer since its introduction in 1977. It still is the benchmark but what all yellow miniature roses are measured
The well formed deep yellow blooms are produced all season long and do not fade much. It repeats quickly and creates a good show in the garden. It is also a good variety to grow on a short standard. It can get a bit of black spot when conditions are right.
Bred from Little Darling x Yellow Magic, it has been a prolific parent with numerous roses having it as a parent. It is a good rose to hybridising with as the seeds germinate readily and accepts most pollen. It also grows easily from cuttings.
A miniature rose that is easy to grow in any garden.
