The Flower Carpet® series of roses have been a revelation since they were first introduced to New Zealand in the early 1990’s. Since then, 10 colours have been introduced and this month, we feature Flower Carpet® Red.
Flower Carpet® Red has all the other attributes of the Flower Carpet ® series – long flowering period, exceptional tolerance to disease, easy care and tolerant of a wide variety of conditions.
The single blooms are a velvety deep red colour and open to reveal yellow stamens. Produced in large clusters, the plants are never without blooms from late spring until well into autumn. The spreading plant grows to 60 – 80cm high and 120cm wide making it ideal for many landscaping situations and is also good grown as a standard.
Bred by Noack of Germany, Flower Carpet® Red is a great red ground cover rose that is easy care and easy to grow.
