With white a fashionable colour in gardening at the moment, this month’s featured rose is one of the best white roses around and one of the best that has been released in the last 10 years.
Racy Lady, named for the Royal Automobile Association in the UK, is a great rose for both the garden and the vase. It is a taller growing rose to around 1.5m so needs a bit more space than many roses but will reward with plenty of blooms throughout summer.
The blooms are classically shaped and are creamy white, deepening to a pale yellow centre. There is little scent but the bush is generally healthy. If you like to bring blooms inside, then Racy Lady is ideal as the blooms are produced on long stems and last for a long time in a vase. With plenty of blooms on the bush, you won’t even notice if you pick a few for inside.
