The 2016 National Spring Rose Show and Convention was hosted by the Feilding Rose Society on November 19th and 20th 2016 at the Feilding Civic Centre The theme of the show was ‘Take time to smell the roses’ with a number of special classes dedicated to this theme.
Rosarians from Kaitaia to Oamaru brought their best blooms to compete across a wide range of classes. Despite wet, windy weather in the lead up to the show, there were many quality blooms on display which drew a large crowd to admire the blooms. This was the first National Rose Show to be held in Feilding and the local rose society did a great job in hosting this event. The rose garden at Kowhai Park was upgraded for the occasion with new roses planted.
The 2017 National Spring Rose Show and Convention will be held in Whangarei November 17th – 19th 2017.
