January – Mutabilis

We start 2011 by featuring a rose that has stood the test of time and is widely recognised as one of the best old fashioned roses to grow and will still look good, no matter how little care and attention it gets.

December – Auckland Metro

This month in time for Christmas we are featuring one of the best white roses around. While we can only dream of a white Christmas down under, a garden with white roses may be the next best thing and Auckland Metro is a must have for any rose enthusiast.

November – Trumpeter

With roses coming into full bloom throughout November, this month’s featured rose will create a great display of colour wherever it is grown including Timaru,

October – Good as Gold

Yellow is a hard colour to find in climbing roses and even harder to get a good all round performer. Good as Gold is just such a rose which we are featuring for this month.

September – Hot Chocolate

One of the best New Zealand bred roses features this month, something a little different that has made its mark in the world of roses.

August – Veilchenblau

While there is no such thing as a true blue rose, this month’s featured rose is often described as of the bluest to be developed in the world of roses.

July – Gold Medal

With the roses just about ready to be pruned, our thoughts turn to later in the year when the roses bloom again.

May – Kaikoura

In his long career in rose breeding, Sam McGredy named many roses after places in his adopted homeland of New Zealand.

April – Graham Thomas

One of the early Austin roses features this month and one that has stood the test of time since its release back in 1983.
